FRL 241 Paleography and Vocabulary in the Germanic Languages - 4 semester credit hours (Internet and Live Web)
This course directs students in studying the parish registers of the German speaking countries of Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Students should be proficient with reading the old handwriting and understanding what is contained in the records, and how to use these records for genealogical and historical research purposes. Prerequisite: Paleography 249
