This Latin language course is different from all the other foreign languages taught at Heritage Genealogical College. Latin is a dead language but extremely important in genealogical research. Latin used to be the universal language of Europe, mainly because of the Roman Catholic Church. This course will concentrate on reading and understanding of old Latin rather than speaking, and the need to communicate. This course is mainly for those who specialize in British research and/or those who need to read Roman Catholic Church records. Prerequisite: None
