The focus of this course is to learn to organize your thoughts from
research so that you can write them down clearly. Prerequisite: Students
must have a working knowledge of word processing.
The course will instruct students in interpreting genealogical research
properly for writing accurate life stories of ancestors or others who
have died. Prerequisites: ENG 111
This course prepares the student to write articles for professional
historical and genealogical journals and magazines. Prerequisite:
Genealogical Writing I.

Students will learn how to produce quality family histories either in traditional book format or Internet format. Prerequisite: None.
This course covers what is needed for writing a good local and/or county
history. Research techniques and finding unusual sources for a
particular area are covered as well as writing styles. Prerequisite: ENG
111, 150, 212, 213.
